Questions people actually ask.
Is this a shared lead?
No, and it is not an exclusive one either — that would be a lie at this price. Seats per trade and region are capped, so a handful of contractors see the same week's list. Any permit feed is non-exclusive, ours included; the public record is public. What is different is that nobody is bidding on these and no contractor is named on the permit.
Can I check a lead before I pay?
Yes. Every free sample page carries real, current permits with their permit numbers. Quote one to the City. That is the point of publishing them.
Do you have the owner's phone number?
On some of them, yes, and it depends where the job is. In the unincorporated county the owner's phone and e-mail are in the public permit record — they typed them into the County's own application — so those come through as they were filed, with a warning that we hold no Do Not Call data for them. In the City of San Diego the permit file carries no contact column at all, so we pay for an owner-of-record lookup against the parcel and pass on what comes back; that is the owner on the assessment roll, which is usually but not always the person who filed. Some parcels come back with nothing and we will not pretend otherwise, so we quote no hit rate — the address is what you are buying, and a number is the part we add. The free 3-a-week sample carries no contact details at all.
What if my region is quiet that week?
You get what qualified and the email says how many matched. We do not pad a short week with older jobs or with permits that failed the owner filter.
