Why it is cheaper than one lead anywhere else
Angi & Thumbtack
- Angi: $15–$85 per lead, plus ~$300/yr and $200+/mo in fees
- Thumbtack: $8–$150 per lead — $35–$90 for HVAC, up to $150 for a remodel
- The same lead is sold to 3–8 contractors
- It is a form fill. Wrong numbers and people who never asked are the standing complaint
Groundwork
- $39/mo flat — about $2.60 a lead at 15 a week
- No per-lead charge, no membership fee, no contract
- Seats capped per trade and region, not sold to the whole city
- It is a building permit. The job is real, filed, dated and verifiable by number
Angi and Thumbtack lead prices researched 6 August 2026. $2.60 is $39 ÷ 15 leads a week — the cap on a paid feed.
Seats are capped, and that is not a growth hack
Statistics do not run out; leads do. Electrical yields about 25 qualified job sites a week across the whole city, so there is a hard limit to how many contractors can buy the same trade and region before everyone is calling the same doors. We cap seats per trade and region rather than selling $39 subscriptions to everyone who asks. If a seat is full we will tell you and offer the other region or a waitlist.
Questions people actually ask
Is this a shared lead?
No, and it is not an exclusive one either — that would be a lie at this price. Seats per trade and region are capped, so a handful of contractors see the same week's list. Angi and Thumbtack sell one lead to 3–8 people who all bought it specifically to race you.
Can I check a lead before I pay?
Yes. Every free sample page carries real, current permits with their permit numbers. Quote one to the City. That is the point of publishing them.
Do you have the homeowner's phone number?
Not today. Building permits do not carry contact details — nobody's does. What every permit does carry is a parcel number, and parcels join to ownership records, so the mailing address is in reach and phone is being worked on. When it ships it will be flagged against the Do Not Call registry and sold for one-to-one contact only. Until then you get the address, and the address is what a permit gives you honestly.
What if my region is quiet that week?
You get what qualified and the email says how many matched. We do not pad a short week with older jobs or with permits that failed the owner filter.
How do I cancel?
One click from any Stripe receipt, or email chad@promptflowbusiness.com. No call, no retention script.
Do you cover my city?
Check coverage first. We cover the City of San Diego, Carlsbad, Santee and El Cajon. Not the county.
